Nestled on a narrow coastal plain between the mountains and the sea, Hermanus offers walkers several options, all of which offer spectacular views of the coastline or the fynbos-covered mountains. Fernkloof Nature Reserve boasts unrivalled birds-eye views of Walker Bay for those willing to put a little effort into their walking. For the less fit, the fairly level cliff paths that trace the coastline of Hermanus from one end to the other, afford the opportunity of enjoying rugged coastal scenery and some excellent whale watching sites.
